V2.1 Update changelog


There were some pretty notable bugs and issues with the Starter build's initial release, so I whipped up a quick update that changes a few things.

Additions

  • Fam has a second aerial attack.
  • Gomba can angle his Shoe Toss projectile in 3 different directions.
  • Gomba can jump out of his Kurbo's Shoe upon descent.

Balance Changes

  • You now start the match with 25% meter. 
  • Defensive bursts now make meter regen stop for 10 seconds instead of 1.5 seconds.
  • Offensive bursts are now unblockable and can't be bursted back.
  • Beeni's Soda Pop can's explosion is bigger to make connecting with the initial hit easier.
  • Fam's aerials deal slightly less hitstun.
  • Jade's Hadoukent projectile is now wider so that it doesn't miss on point blank on certain characters.
  • Pike's Muda Muda! special is slightly safer on hit.
  • Pike's meter buff was slightly tweaked. He only gets a 10% movement buff as opposed to 15%, but his Muda Muda! special does more hitstun, making it a combo tool.

Bugfixes

  • Fixed a bug that allowed the AI of Matoh and Samson to Burst while grabbing. 
  • Fixed a visual bug with Sheen's Ultra Meter upon reaching max meter. 
  • Fixed a bizarre interaction with Fam's Armadillo and counters (specifically the ones from Majik and another Fam.)

Other

  • Majik's heart in the third palette death animation is now more white.
  • Fixed some inaccurate text in the command lists for various characters.
  • Survival mode has a warning that it is prone to crashing, and Samson is temporarily a starter character. He will still appear in Round 10 on Survival.
